Shipping policy
Free Local Delivery
Free local delivery is available to Westchester and Putnam Counties in NY and parts of Fairfield County CT. You will be given this option at checkout based on your delivery zip code. If you are not given this option, but believe you are in out free delivery area, please contact us so that we can look into it for you.
Minimum orders may be required for free shipping. These, and any delivery fees that may apply to below-minimum orders, will be published on the website.
Deliveries are made during normal business hours Mon - Fri and some Saturdays. If no one is home, we will leave the order at the front door unless instructed otherwise in the delivery notes section of the online order. If a gate code or other information is required for us to gain access, that must be noted at the time you place your order. We reserve the right to set up delivery zones and specific delivery dates to those zones. Notification of any such zones will be published in advance.
Shipping policy
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order. You will receive a notification when your order has shipped. Delivery times are dependent on the normal delivery times of the carrier and service selected at checkout. We do our best to process orders as quickly as possible, but please note that during holidays and other high-volume times shipping and order processing times may be extended. Please plan accordingly.
Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
International Shipping
We do not currently offer International shipping.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification, which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within the anticipated delivery timeframe, please contact us at karen@tastefulpets.com with your name and order information, and we will look into it for you.
Shipping to P.O. boxes
Please note that UPS will not ship to PO boxes. A valid street address is necessary.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges
It is always our goal to make you and your pets happy, so contact us with any issues and we will do our best to make it right. Generally speaking, there are some things to keep in mind, as follows:
Except as noted below, we accept returns for any reason up to 14 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition. This applies to non-ingestible items only. We will provide a refund, credit, or replacement for the item, but we cannot reimburse any shipping costs. There are no restocking fees.
If a product does not perform as advertised, or you believe it to be defective, we will issue a refund, credit, or replacement.
We cannot accept returns of dog or cat food, treats, supplements or other ingestible items. If you encounter a problem with any such items, please contact us so that we can do our best to make the situation right. If you are trying our food items for the first time, we will credit back the price of up to 3 lbs. if your pet does not prefer to eat the food. So, please keep that in mind when deciding how much to order.
If your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible with your name, order information and a photo of the item’s condition. We will work to correct the situation.
